Smart Switch 6 doesn’t just visually communicate how much electricity you’re using, it also reports it back to your Z-Wave gateway in real-time. From anywhere in the world you’ll be able to see which devices are turned on and how much that is costing you. Compatible gateways will also help you store and analyse your historical energy consumption. Besides a colored LED ring at the Smart Switch shows the energy consumption of the connected device.

The LED ring can be configured as follows:
• Disabled: The LED ring is switched off permanently
• Bicolored: Blue shows that the connected device is switched on, White shows that it is switched off
• 16 milion colors: Colors vary from Blue to Yellow, Green up to Red (Blue shows low, Red shows high energy consumption of the connected device)

The Smart Switch 6 has a dimension of only 60 x 60 mm and is therewith 43% smaller than its forerunner - however it is smart and practical. In a time when tablets, smartphones and many other devices can be charged with power via USB it is obvious that Smart Switch 6 owns an additional USB port alongside.

With the AEOTEC Dual Nano Switch all switchable and non-dimmable electric installations (e.g. lighting, sockets...) can be integrated into a Z-Wave network. Thus, the connected load can be switched both wirelessly via Z-Wave and locally via existing wall switch.

The compact radio module (60% smaller than its predecessor Micro Smart Switch) is placed in a wall box right behind the normal switch. The switch is no longer directly connected to the load but acts as input device for the AEOTEC insert that is controlling the load. The switch only sends control signal to the insert which controls the load then again. The solution works with all switch design. You can use a momentary or a toggle switch. It’s recommended to use wall boxes with 65mm depth. But smaller boxes with only 45mm depth can be used also if there is enough space behind the switch. The available space depends on the size of the traditional switch, the dimensions of the wall box and the amount of additional cabling placed in this box.

Additionally, the ZW132 has an integrated power metering function which allows to detect the exact energy consumption of the connected load.

The Aeon Labs Heavy Duty Switch is used for wireless control, automate and record the power consumption of heavy loads up to 40 amps. Furthermore the bulb can be switched on and off time-controlled via defined scenes or by a motion sensor. Use your Aeotec bulb as notification or status LED. Installed in the corridor it could flash in red color if you want to leave your home and windows or terrace door are still open. Due to LED technology power consumption is very low compared to conventional bulbs. The Aeotec bulb is as bright as a conventional 70W bulb, but needs only 9W.
